What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
MKCCC seeks to successfully prepare young children to enter kindergarten and beyond; often with daily contact of the child and their family for more than a decade. Quality care and education are provided for children ages 3 months to 11 years of age, including before and after school, school age programs. This dependable care in essential for the working parent(s) and for the well being of the entire family.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
The staff and the Board of Directors of MKCCC are dedicated to making this extraordinary program viable for area working parents and exploring all options to promote a sustainable operation. There is no childcare program equal to MKCCC in our area.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
MKCCC has long enjoyed loyal and appreciative friends, families, collaborators and donors who work with the staff and board to accomplish the important everyday care and education of 150 young children year round.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
With the current economic challenges and changing demographics we seek to update a survey done 10 years ago that will help us specifically determine the needs of new families in our area. We also seek ways to make our community more aware of our unique offerings for children and parents.
